My family's roots to South County date back to the 1600s and I am enormously proud to say that I come from generations of artisans. My grandparents met while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design. After graduation, they began Peter Pots of Providence, which later became Peter Pots Pottery in West Kingstown when they purchased Glen Rock Mill. My father followed his own artistic calling to become a furnituremaker specializing in 18th-century American designs. Looking back on my childhood, I see a quilt of moments sewn together that taught me about the beauty that can be created with one's own hands. I cherish vivid memories of my grandfather showing me how to use the wheel, his expert hands permanently coated in stoneware clay and of my father meticulously carving ball and claw feet as I watched ribbons of mahogany float to the floor. I suppose it was not if, but when, that I would follow in the footsteps of my family. After discovering my passion for wheel-thrown ceramics, I view my art as a connection to the artisans who raised me. I began Haymeadow Pottery to share the art medium that I love with others. My products include wheel thrown mugs, bowls, berry strainers, spoon rests, soap dishes, vases, and sponge holders all glazed in lead free dinnerware safe glazes.

I re-purpose antique windows with recycled glass, crushed manually. Product is then resin-set to secure design. Scenes include seascapes and nature scenes. Currently sold in local shops; Charlestown, Narragansett and Wakefield.
